This was my nemesis for a while. I spent hours smashing though it. A strip foundation for a 5ft wall. The top layer of rebar was cut out before this photo was taken. I'm not a structural engineer but think that a 2 foot deep strip foundation with 14 lateral 12mm bars seems a little excessive for what was a garden wall!
